You installed the correct version of calman client 3 and it works without license as a pattern generator, but when you try to do standalone calibration or ICC profiles then it needs the additional calman client license. If I can switch between calibrated and un-calibrated, it means that the ICC profile is created or not? Or am I missing something? Calman client stored the calibration data and I could switch between the un-calibrated and calibrated display.

I had to tweak the settings on the monitor to get it to the point where the calibration is okay (comparing the pre and post calibration). I used the SI advanced calibration workflow and calman client generated the patterns needed for the calibration. I installed the meter, Calman 5 and the client 3. I have a Spyder 4 Pro meter with the Datacolor software that came with the meter. I'm fairly new to this calibration software. Yes, you can use a free ICC manager but not with Calman software. If you want it as ICC profile manager.(monitor EDD command, professional display with hardware LUT, or multi-display, or Day and Night ICC Profile etc) you need a license. I wrote: 'You can use Calman Client as a pattern generator but not as an ICC profile manager' NO need for a method to make it work.ĬalMan Client 3 works as a free pattern generator from the beginning. That's all to it, and happy display calibrating.
